Question5 Campus Situation Topic: Problem/Solution
The listening passage (60-90 sec; 180-220 words) is a conversation about a student-related problem and two possible solutions.
The question asks the test taker to demonstrate understanding of the problem and to express an opinion about solving the problem.
o Preparation time: 20 sec
o Response time: 60 sec
1、時間沖突: Time Conflict
a. Problem of a time conflict between a and b

Work (part-time job) vs. Study (for a… test/exam)
Play (visit/tour) vs. Study (for a… test/exam)

首先聽到一段對話,應(yīng)對這類題需要邊聽對話邊記筆記,當(dāng)然這也就是要求我們平時訓(xùn)練好自己的速記能力。在速記過程中把握好重點(diǎn)環(huán)節(jié)。第一,對話中探討的問題是什么?第二,對話中提出了怎樣的解決方案?第三,解決方案中各自存在怎樣的利弊?找到了這樣的重點(diǎn)內(nèi)容,也就可以讓我們清晰的掌握了文章的脈絡(luò)。
在托??谡Z第五題中,還是有著比較固定的。比如在以下內(nèi)容中:briefly describe the problem that was discussed in the conversation and to state which of the two solutions you prefer, and explain why you prefer that solution”.
托福口語第五題答題思路
很多人曾經(jīng)也抱怨過,第五題的內(nèi)容貌似不難,但是最容易遇到的問題就是,大費(fèi)周章最不能拿到最好的分?jǐn)?shù)。原因很簡單,和考生的英語水平未必相關(guān),而是應(yīng)答思路出了問題。建議大家在備考過程中,對每個解決方案的好處和弊端勤加練習(xí),理清表達(dá)思路。
托福口語考試的6部分
口語考試共有6道題目,大約20分鐘。
前兩題要求考生在聽/看到題目15秒內(nèi)準(zhǔn)備,在之后緊接著的45秒內(nèi)回答。
第一題是講述考試身邊的事情。比如你尊敬的一個人及原因,你喜歡的一本書及原因,你印象深刻的一個活動/典禮及原因。
第二題是二選一或支持/反對某一觀點(diǎn)的問題,非常像舊托福TWE185的題目。
第三、四題會給考生45秒來讀一段閱讀材料,之后閱讀材料不再顯示,讓考生聽一段1分多鐘的相關(guān)錄音材料。然后要考生根據(jù)閱讀和聽力材料回答問題??忌?0秒鐘準(zhǔn)備,60秒鐘回答。
第三題的閱讀材料較常見的是學(xué)校貼出了一張通知/告示,說要采取某方面的新措施、新政策。然后列舉原因。聽力材料則是學(xué)生對新措施、新政策的討論。
第四題的閱讀材料和聽力材料一般都是學(xué)術(shù)問題。
第五題和第六題考生會聽到1分多種的聽力材料,然后根據(jù)聽力材料回答問題??忌?0秒鐘準(zhǔn)備,60秒鐘回答。第五題較多見的是一個學(xué)生遇到了問題,另一個學(xué)生(或老師)幫助出主意,一般來說會提出兩個主意,然后考生除了會被要求復(fù)述場景相關(guān)內(nèi)容外,還要指出你覺得那一個方案更好,并簡單說說理由。
第六題是一個學(xué)術(shù)段子。
