along的用法:
作為介詞時,與名詞road,river,corridor,line等連用,常指那些有這細(xì)長外形的名詞。
I saw her running along the road.
涉及到時期或活動時,常用through,如through the centuries(NOT along the centuries)和all through the journey(NOT all along the journey)。
along用作副詞的基本意思有二:一是“向前,往前”,常用在運動動詞之后以加強其效果; 二是“一道,一起”,可用于人,也可用于物。用于美式英語還可指“接近”; 引申可指“在這里〔那里〕”。along通常和動態(tài)動詞搭配使用。
along用作副詞時不用于比較等級。
