●1. 表示“承認”,注意以下用法:
(1) 表示“承認做了某事”,其后通常接動名詞不接不定式。如:
She admitted having seen us. 她承認看到過我們。
I admit breaking the window. 我承認打破了窗子。
用于此義時,有時也說admit to,此時的 admit為不及物動詞,但該結(jié)構(gòu)中的介詞 to ??墒÷?,省略介詞后 admit 即為及物動詞。如:
