If you are selecting a leader for a student organization, honesty is the most important to consider in deciding whom to vote for. 如果為學(xué)生社團(tuán)選擇一位領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者，性格誠(chéng)實(shí)應(yīng)該是你選擇投票給誰(shuí)時(shí)最重要的考慮因素。

Honesty is a good quality to lead a student organization. A lot of students vote for a campaign candidate who is loyal and honest as the best one to lead a student organization. As far as I am concerned, being honest is essential in running a students union; however there are other factors that draw the same attention.
Admittedly, telling the truth when dealing with student affairs is helpful for colleagues to improve. In order to fully support other workmate, directly telling them where the problem is and how to correct it are useful. For example, when a colleague who is new to the Office of Student Affairs, makes a mistake in correctly registering student’ names, plainly pointing out his mistake is necessary. In addition to this, it would be also appropriate to tell him that student’ handwritings are normally scratchy, and there would be more typos if he has not paid enough attention to them. In a word, being honest to his mistake would not discourage his working enterprise, but encourage him to work with more cautions. However, on balance, for a leader to manage the team well, being honest is not enough for the absolutely honest to others would hurt their feelings. To avoid this, we have to consider other factors as a leader of a student organization.
To begin with, admitting to personal mistakes is a crucial characteristics for a leader, which sets foundation for self-improvement. If one is unable to acknowledge where he has failed, he will never be able to begin the process of working on the areas of weakness. In order to be a strong leader, one has to make mistakes, and confront them with a desire to do better in the future. This has more to do with improving your competence as a leader, rather than how people perceive you. A leader will constantly be faced with tough decisions. Every leader thus has to take risks, but a good leader takes calculated risks. The only way to get better at this decision-making process is to make mistakes and learn from them. Also, if you are willing to make your mistakes public, the voters and colleagues may be willing to trust you to take bigger risks in the future.
In addition, how to cooperate with other teammates is also worth noticing. In other words, team cooperation is able to improve the efficiency when encountering difficulties. According to a survey conducted by Gallup, after polling hundreds of student leaders from universities in California, a significant percentage of them regard that being cooperative in dealing with problems could get everybody involved when making decisions. During the discussion, suggestions from different members would make the problems comprehensively considered, and hence minimizing the chance to ignoring certain aspects. Meanwhile, letting everyone have an opportunity to express his opinion makes them feel a part of the team, which is essential to build team spirit.
To sum up, there is no denying that honesty could help a student leader to run the organization. However, to consider it as the most important one is too absolute, and there are other factors, such as admitting to errors and teamwork, that are indispensable for a leader to take consideration.

Leaders of all kinds should have lots of qualities in order to thrive together with the team. Persistence, passion, confidence and personal charisma, to name a few. When it comes to question of whether honesty is the most important qualities of all for a leader in a student organization, I, personally, would say honesty is definitely not the most important even though it is a contributing factor for a qualified leader and there are other qualities that are more urgent than being honest.
First off, being a good listener and able to communicate well with fellow members can be more important than being honest. Only when a leader sits down and listens patiently to problems and concerns of his or her members, can he or she become an effective leader in a student organization. Also, being an effective communicator can also be equally important since it is essential to convey emotions and ideas clearly to others, and when the leader get his or her ideas across to the fellow members, it enjoys a better chance to be implemented. A leader with exceptional communication skills is very confidence and personable when they are interacting with others. Since they can grab the listeners’ attention, it is very easy for them to build rapport with strangers and thus they enjoy better chance to broaden their social networks.
Additionally, it is more essential for leaders of student organizations to be compassionate about the community and set exemplars for their fellow members than just being honest. Actually, lots responsibilities of student leaders involve various volunteer programs and philanthropic activities, if leaders of students body are not committed to getting involved in charitable activities, there will be a lack of energy level and passion among his or her fellow members. To be more specific, students organizations involved in lots of volunteer activities, like collecting food, managing the inventory and distributing food to those in need. They also volunteer in homeless shelters to prepare food or even work behind the scene in the business office. If leaders are motivated to take the initiative and contribute their time and other resources to the community in the first place, chances are that his or her members would follow suit.
In all, students leaders should have more important qualities other than being honest like excellent communication skills, compassion about their community and dedication to their endeavors.

熟知但是卻不愛用的there be句型
說(shuō)熟知是絕大部分同學(xué)或多或少寫過，說(shuō)不愛用，就得提提老給考生使絆的“Chinglish思維方式”。Therebe的句型在寫作中極容易犯錯(cuò)，比如：
明天將會(huì)有很多重大新聞。有的考生想都不想地就寫成：Tomorrow will have many significant news.
這樣的句子就屬于較嚴(yán)重的語(yǔ)法錯(cuò)誤，tomorrow能發(fā)出have這個(gè)動(dòng)作嗎?肯定是不能的，所以主語(yǔ)并不是tomorrow。這里很明顯沒有可以發(fā)出
“有“這個(gè)動(dòng)作的主語(yǔ)，所以正確答案應(yīng)該是：There will be many significant news tomorrow.
tomorrow 是典型的時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)，所以以后在there be的寫作中要注意可能出現(xiàn)的狀語(yǔ)和主語(yǔ)的混淆錯(cuò)誤。
托福寫作實(shí)用句型2：
動(dòng)名詞做主語(yǔ)
動(dòng)詞一般不可以在句首做主語(yǔ)，但是如果把動(dòng)詞加上ing，它就會(huì)變成“動(dòng)名詞“，那么這個(gè)主語(yǔ)就“名正言順”了。語(yǔ)法書中定義：“動(dòng)名詞，即是兼有名詞和動(dòng)詞特征的非限定性動(dòng)詞，可以做主語(yǔ)、定語(yǔ)、表語(yǔ)和賓語(yǔ)等。”
所以上面的二個(gè)句子這樣表達(dá)最合適：
(1). 讀書是一門藝術(shù)：Reading is an art.
(2). 販賣毒品是犯法的：Selling drugs is illegal.
可以發(fā)現(xiàn)，動(dòng)名詞做主語(yǔ)的句子所包含的意思真的不是針對(duì)哪一個(gè)或哪一類人，暗指的對(duì)象應(yīng)該是整個(gè)大眾，所以，使用動(dòng)名詞開頭的句型不僅是在說(shuō)理，而且還更加客觀、科學(xué)，是書面語(yǔ)的標(biāo)志。
托福寫作實(shí)用句型3
代詞做主語(yǔ)
這種句型還是適用在找不到主語(yǔ)的情況下，但是情況要顯得更加復(fù)雜一些。例如：“現(xiàn)在對(duì)于很多老師來(lái)說(shuō)處理學(xué)生的在校不恰當(dāng)行為并不是那么容易?！?/p>
句子看上去似乎很復(fù)雜，考生可能需要想很久、慢慢理清楚詞與詞之間的關(guān)系。其實(shí)，這時(shí)候有種很簡(jiǎn)單的方法就可以輕松地解決問題。那就是如果句子里有形容詞，可以用這個(gè)句型來(lái)處理：“It is + adj. + for somebody to do sth.”
