BEC中級(jí)難度略高于大學(xué)英語(yǔ)四級(jí)考試水平。BEC中級(jí)考試更加注重實(shí)踐,而詞匯部分主要是圍繞商業(yè)和生活做為考試重點(diǎn)。對(duì)于通過(guò)大學(xué)英語(yǔ)六級(jí)的同學(xué)來(lái)說(shuō)BEC中級(jí)的閱讀、寫作、語(yǔ)法并不會(huì)太難,關(guān)鍵要加強(qiáng)口語(yǔ)的復(fù)習(xí)。
但是BEC中級(jí)考試難度和英語(yǔ)六級(jí)沒(méi)有必然的聯(lián)系,因?yàn)榭荚嚨膬?nèi)容和方法不一樣,一般的情況下建議英語(yǔ)六級(jí)考到470分到英語(yǔ)四級(jí)考到560左右的同學(xué),可以報(bào)考BEC中級(jí)。BEC畢竟是英語(yǔ)考試,如果英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)好,考BEC肯定有優(yōu)勢(shì),但缺乏商務(wù)知識(shí)和詞匯以及專項(xiàng)的技能訓(xùn)練也很難考好。

BEC中級(jí)考試經(jīng)驗(yàn):沒(méi)想象中那么難
本人四級(jí)581,六級(jí)513,雖然BEC中級(jí)沒(méi)有拿到B,只拿到C,但是還是有點(diǎn)經(jīng)驗(yàn)和教訓(xùn)供和我水平相當(dāng)?shù)暮髞?lái)者滴。
復(fù)習(xí)時(shí)間:四月一號(hào)到考前一天,基本每天3-4小時(shí)
復(fù)習(xí)資料:學(xué)生輔導(dǎo)書,真題。
復(fù)習(xí)程序:
一,筆試部分之閱讀
由于四月才開(kāi)始復(fù)習(xí),加上有別的事情,感覺(jué)來(lái)不及把書過(guò)一遍然后再做真題,于是就只看了對(duì)課本有詳細(xì)解釋的學(xué)生輔導(dǎo)書,和真題的閱讀。
1,學(xué)生輔導(dǎo)書——單詞,短語(yǔ),固定搭配:總體來(lái)說(shuō)商務(wù)英語(yǔ)的單詞基礎(chǔ)是四級(jí),它和公共英語(yǔ)的不同在于同一個(gè)詞,在商務(wù)英語(yǔ)里面有不一樣的意思。這個(gè)時(shí)候商務(wù)英語(yǔ)的單詞背誦的目的就很明顯了,就是暫時(shí)糾正一下語(yǔ)義,以應(yīng)對(duì)考試。而擴(kuò)大商務(wù)英語(yǔ)中常用短語(yǔ),搭配的知識(shí)量也是很必要的。因此我做了一下工作。
首先每天一早,我將學(xué)生輔導(dǎo)書里每章每?jī)晒?jié)出現(xiàn)單詞,固定搭配,短語(yǔ)的地方先瀏覽一遍(注意:輔導(dǎo)書中會(huì)有題目的解析,而這些解析就包括一些常用短語(yǔ),固定搭配),把自己認(rèn)為閱讀會(huì)出現(xiàn)的單詞挑出來(lái)抄在小學(xué)語(yǔ)文課本大的本子上。
何為認(rèn)為會(huì)出現(xiàn)的單詞?我做了這樣的總結(jié)——基本是日常常用的常見(jiàn)的商務(wù)英語(yǔ),即專業(yè)性質(zhì)不是太強(qiáng)的商務(wù)英語(yǔ)。因?yàn)槿粘?,所以這樣的單詞最容易出現(xiàn),而且只是中級(jí)考試——一個(gè)通過(guò)率不低的考試,所以門檻自然不高。切記不要把中級(jí)想象得太專業(yè)太難!實(shí)際它就是介于四級(jí)和六級(jí)之間的難度!
然后,我就開(kāi)始背,一天1.5頁(yè)紙,3版的單詞,短語(yǔ),固定搭配,背上個(gè)2-3次的速度。等到開(kāi)始看真題的時(shí)候,把真題里所有常見(jiàn)的自己不能熟練掌握的也記在本子上。然后背,一直背到考試。
這樣的流程1個(gè)小時(shí)-1.5小時(shí)就能結(jié)束。
2,真題:由于真題量稀少而且珍貴,于是我就分開(kāi)做,把閱讀五部分分成兩部分來(lái)做,一個(gè)星期做第一第二第五部分,下個(gè)星期做第三和第四部分。這樣交叉來(lái)做,既能在短時(shí)間提高對(duì)某種題的題感,又能縮短每天的復(fù)習(xí)時(shí)間,還能使一份真題分兩天做,就不至于一次16篇一下半個(gè)月就做完了。做完后對(duì)每篇閱讀都進(jìn)行了細(xì)讀,和研究,發(fā)現(xiàn)為什么錯(cuò)。應(yīng)該怎么想。前后有沒(méi)有相關(guān)提示,這種題有沒(méi)有一套解法等等的思考。
這樣的流程每天2-2.5小時(shí),總共反復(fù)滾騰了三遍。一直到考試前剛好能結(jié)束。
二,筆試部分之作文,
作文我是提前半個(gè)月到一個(gè)月的時(shí)間才開(kāi)始復(fù)習(xí)的,下載了一些新東方老師的資料,但發(fā)現(xiàn)用處不大,于是就研究真題的答案,把基本框架背背,多寫寫,多改改,就差不多了。當(dāng)時(shí)基本一天大作文一天小作文這樣的程序一直到考試。其實(shí)不需要寫得跟真題那樣那么規(guī)范,只要通順,要點(diǎn)都答上了,沒(méi)有過(guò)多錯(cuò)誤,愛(ài)怎么寫就怎么寫,和英語(yǔ)四六級(jí)差不太多。
三,聽(tīng)力
聽(tīng)力完全用真題。也是把真題分成兩部分用,今天聽(tīng)section1第一篇,section2第一篇,以及section3.明天聽(tīng)剩下的。這樣不間斷地聽(tīng)到考試前一天。聽(tīng)力一定要反復(fù)聽(tīng),不停的聽(tīng)。才能有感覺(jué)。
注意!我強(qiáng)烈要求大家不要太過(guò)輕信網(wǎng)上說(shuō)的要加速!而且加個(gè)多少多少。我就是被坑了!其實(shí)就比正常語(yǔ)速略快一些些而已!沒(méi)有網(wǎng)上說(shuō)的那么嚴(yán)重!聽(tīng)力沒(méi)有想象的那么難!!!就是四六級(jí)之間的速度!!!你可以加速,但不能加太快了!!!我到了考試前為了聽(tīng)力可愁人了!以為像大家說(shuō)的很難,蠻快!于是就跟聽(tīng)力對(duì)上了!結(jié)果考試時(shí)才后悔,這嚴(yán)重影響我考試情緒!!!加大我心理壓力啊。嗚嗚嗚嗚。。。
四,口語(yǔ)
也就五月才開(kāi)始練習(xí)的口語(yǔ),搭檔經(jīng)常有事,于是我就自己練習(xí)。陳小慰的太難了,不建議用!你背的什么的,到了考場(chǎng)什么都不會(huì)記得的!因?yàn)闀r(shí)間比較短,真的就能顯示你的本來(lái)的口語(yǔ)水平!我都是看真題,結(jié)果考試時(shí)候就和真題的差不多。
最好的練習(xí)口語(yǔ)的方法我認(rèn)為就是寫作,拿到題目看著表用一分鐘時(shí)間,去思考一二三點(diǎn)。然后立馬就開(kāi)始寫作文,每點(diǎn)寫短句最多不超過(guò)三句話,長(zhǎng)句不超過(guò)兩句的長(zhǎng)度就完全可以了!!!(到考場(chǎng)時(shí)候,你很可能連第三點(diǎn)都沒(méi)說(shuō)出來(lái)。但不要緊!考官看的是你的音準(zhǔn),基本造句能力,和表現(xiàn)而已,沒(méi)想象的那么恐怖!)一定要快,逼著自己快想!這個(gè)練習(xí)就是加快你的腦子轉(zhuǎn)速,營(yíng)造高壓環(huán)境,使得上場(chǎng)時(shí)不會(huì)腦子忽然空白!
五,其他
再?gòu)?qiáng)調(diào)一遍,不是很難!只有四六級(jí)之間的難度!同學(xué)們啊,我就是被第四輯真題集和第三輯最后一篇真題騙了啊!哪有那么難!難得連句子都不能一次看懂!!實(shí)際上考試的時(shí)候只有第二輯第三四篇和第三輯一二篇的難度,最多也不超過(guò)第三輯第三篇的難度啊。!聽(tīng)力也是!按第三輯的聽(tīng)力聽(tīng),完全沒(méi)問(wèn)題!不要盲目聽(tīng)信網(wǎng)上說(shuō)的而去加速啊!不過(guò)也有可能我這一次考試是這樣而已。不過(guò)大家想想啊,BEC中級(jí),每年那么多人通過(guò)。商務(wù)英語(yǔ),如果它真的考得很專業(yè)的話,大學(xué)生的我們,沒(méi)有任何經(jīng)驗(yàn)的我們,能通過(guò)嗎!?肯定不怎么可能的。所以,它就像會(huì)計(jì)從業(yè)資格證那樣,都是最低級(jí)的入門證件而已!含金量可想而知了。所以大家完全不需要放太多的精力在上面,我看,只要提前一個(gè)半月突擊一下就行,根本不用太費(fèi)神費(fèi)腦的!同學(xué)們啊我當(dāng)初還對(duì)每部分題做了規(guī)律性總結(jié)啊。現(xiàn)在看來(lái)真的很多余!所以,放平常心態(tài),就是一考試,一簡(jiǎn)單考試,萬(wàn)能的考試大國(guó)的國(guó)民,能搞不定!?不可能!

題目:
You work for a company which is going to buy a set of equipment from China. You are asked to translate a lot of specifications and instructions within four months, which is impossible. therefore you decide to advertise for two experienced translators as soon as possible.

D Richard Jenkins: Finance Director of Centron Advertising
Labouring in the shadow of a high-profile boss can sometimes draw attention away from the finance director, and the judges considered it was high time Jenkins got that attention. The CEO may be the public face of Centron, but Jenkins is the one who makes it run smoothly. Behind the scenes, he is constantly demonstrating that budgets and forecasts are what is needed to make a company successful, particularly now that the advertising market has been hit by recession. It is largely thanks to him that Centron is in much better shape than its rivals.
