Environment - how can we help protect it?
Our planet is in trouble!Almost every day we seem to hear of yet another problem affecting the environment - and what a list of problems!- pollution,acid rain,global warming,the destruction of rainforests and other wild habitats,the decline and extinction of thousands of species of animals and plants.and so on.
Nowadays,most of us know that these threats exist and that humans have caused them.Many of us are very worried about the future of our planet and unless we can find a way of solving the problems we have made then the environment will suffer even more.
It all sounds so depressing - but we certainly mustn't despair!Every one of us,whatever age we are,can do something to help slow down and reverse some of the damage.We cannot leave the problem-solving entirely to the experts - we all have a responsibility for our environment.We must learn to live in a sustainable way i.e.learn to use our natural resources which include air,freshwater,forests,wildlife,farmland and seas without damaging them.As populations expand and lifestyles change,we must keep the World in good condition so that future generations will have the same natural resources that we have.
Here are just a few ideas to help you to do something to protect our environment.
.plant more trees;
.saving energy and water;
.minimise waste;
.use as much public transport as you can;
.protect wild animals.

Earth looks like a big blue marble; from high above the Earth and from the moon, the planet gleams and shines. The blue water in the oceans and seas of the Earth makes a dramatic image.Water is the source of this beauty and the source of life on Earth. It is the reason people can live on this planet. Water is everywhere. Water is in rock deep under the ground, in natural holding areas.In a real sense, water keeps Earth alive. The last drop of water will be the world's human tears. We Chinese are one of the 12 water-poor countries, as people waste, water less and less. However, there are many waste of water, for example: some of the children bought water gun filled with water shooting water everywhere; there are some students hand-washing after washing bowls, or not turn off the faucet, waste a lot of water... .... Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, where the recent prolonged drought, making survival of the population there is facing a serious threat to address this problem, we in China 1.3 billion to develop awareness of water conservation. 但是生活中還有許多浪費(fèi)水的現(xiàn)象，比如;有些小朋友買來水槍到處射水，還有一些學(xué)生洗完碗或洗完手，都不關(guān)水龍頭，浪費(fèi)了許多水……最近云南貴州高原那里長時(shí)間持續(xù)干旱，使那里居民生存面臨著嚴(yán)重威脅，針對(duì)這個(gè)問題，我們中國13億要養(yǎng)成節(jié)約用水的意識(shí)。

Hello，everyone. Today，my topic is about “Environment Protection”.
各位好，今天，我的主題是“環(huán)境保護(hù)” 。
There are places where cities once stood. There are gardens with trees and grass. But now these places are like deserts. Scientists began to study this land to find out what happened. Many of them believe the land died when trees were cut down. By this story，We find that we must do our best to provide our word’s environment.
有些地方的城市曾經(jīng)。有花園的樹和草。但現(xiàn)在這些地方就像是沙漠?？茖W(xué)家開始研究這片土地，了解發(fā)生了什么。他們中的許多人認(rèn)為，土地死亡樹木被砍倒。由這個(gè)故事，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，我們必須竭盡所能，提供我們的話的環(huán)境。
Now，In the world，Many students began to do something for our world. They join environment clubs. In the club，People work together to make our environment clean. They bring their lunches in bags that can be used again. Every week they choose the classes that make the least garbage and report them to the whole school. They also come to school in no-car days. Cars give pollution to our air，so remember ：walk, ride a bike or run，used our legs. It’s more fun!

I know I’m only a primary student，but I can do something too. I will do something to help save water，when I take shows，I will collect the used water with a basin and later flush toilets with it. I will also help sort out different kinds of garbage，when morewastes are treated，our environment will be cleaner.

When I was young,I always dreamed that I lived in a beautiful country. There were many flowers and trees around our city.We counld hear the birds singing and see the children dancing. The streets were clear and the the air was very fresh! How nice it was!But that only was a dream of mine!How I wish that it would be come true! So I think we should do something to protect our environment. Everyone should make a contribution to protect the environment.
Taking care of our environment is very important.Wherever you live,you can do something around your neighbourhood.
Have you ever thrown any litter onto the ground?Have you ever drawn pictures on public walls?Have you ever spat in a public place?Have you ever cut down trees?If your answers are "No",it means that you have already helped protect our environment.
It is our duty to keep our envionment clean and tidy. You might ask yourself,"Have I ever picked up some rubbish and thrown it into a dustbin?Have I ever collected waste paper or bottles for recycling?Have I ever planted any trees or flowers in or near my neighbourhood?"If your answers are"Yes",it means that you have already done something useful to improve the environment.

We live in the world every day. We eat food, drink water, wear clothes, watch TV, use computers and so on. We are producing waste every moment.
Generally speaking, there are four sorts of waste. They are material waste, organic waste, inorganic waste and poisonous & harmful waste. Now, we are going to talk about each sort of waste one by one.
Material waste: it means the waste of substance or things from which something else can be made. For example, people throw away the used metal products and buy a new one, so the old metal waste accumulates. At last, they become waste. For example, when people finish reading newspaper, the paper will become waste. When the glass is broken, it also becomes waste. Nobody wants to use a broken window or drink with a broken glass or wear a pair of broken glasses. Once it is broken, it becomes waste. The rate of using plastics is increasing day by day. People use plastic bags because they are convenient. When they get home, they throw the plastics way, paying no attention to the environment. The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called “white pollution” as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. However, it also brings us some trouble when it has been used for a long time and becomes old. The old tyres become waste because it can’t break down by nature. This is really a big problem.
