　　(4)推薦人還必須清楚地表明被推薦人留學(xué)的身份是研究生還是訪問學(xué)者，專業(yè)領(lǐng)域和研究方向是什么。

　　(5)如果大學(xué)提供了現(xiàn)成的推薦表格，則必須按這類表格認(rèn)真逐項(xiàng)填寫。推薦表格中一般有學(xué)生綜合評(píng)估項(xiàng)，即要求推薦人說明該生在其所教的學(xué)生中應(yīng)列為前5% 、10% 或25% 等。這種評(píng)估是指教授的個(gè)人評(píng)價(jià)，可以稍高一點(diǎn)。另外，推薦表格上常有許多難以填寫的項(xiàng)目，遇到這種情形可填"I don' t know" ，亦不致對(duì)該生的評(píng)價(jià)有什么嚴(yán)重的影響。
