第一個(gè)經(jīng)常問(wèn)得話題是考研原因通常我們可以從以下三個(gè)方面來(lái)回答。
1) 興趣，即強(qiáng)調(diào)對(duì)所報(bào)考的專業(yè)懷有極大的興趣(have significant interest in…)。如果本科就讀的專業(yè)與報(bào)考的專業(yè)一致，則可以說(shuō)明想繼續(xù)深造(further education)的愿望。如果不一致，則要說(shuō)明報(bào)考專業(yè)對(duì)你的吸引力(…appeals to/attracts me a lot)。
2) 優(yōu)勢(shì)，即強(qiáng)調(diào)研究生相對(duì)于本科生在知識(shí)、學(xué)術(shù)方面的優(yōu)勢(shì)，如：知識(shí)面更廣(wider knowledge)，學(xué)術(shù)更專業(yè)(more professional)，眼界更廣闊等(broaden one’s horizon)。

考官有時(shí)會(huì)詢問(wèn)考生對(duì)未來(lái)的一些規(guī)劃，其目的在于試探考生是否對(duì)時(shí)間、學(xué)習(xí)、人生有一定計(jì)劃性和掌控能力。
1) 學(xué)習(xí)規(guī)劃。關(guān)于這一話題，考官通常會(huì)以一種較婉轉(zhuǎn)的方式提問(wèn)，如：What do you expect to achieve during your study if you are enrolled into this university? 回答這一類的問(wèn)題時(shí)，不僅僅要回答想學(xué)到什么樣的知識(shí)、成為什么樣的人，最好能夠稍微說(shuō)說(shuō)你會(huì)/計(jì)劃怎樣學(xué)習(xí)(即學(xué)習(xí)方法)。無(wú)論是傾向于學(xué)術(shù)理論性的還是側(cè)重于實(shí)驗(yàn)研究性的，都要把握一個(gè)原則：理論聯(lián)系實(shí)際，同時(shí)主次分明。
2) 職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃。職業(yè)生涯規(guī)劃其實(shí)就是明確自己未來(lái)的職業(yè)方向，雖然考官不常對(duì)此提問(wèn)(基本上也是提問(wèn)考生對(duì)所報(bào)考專業(yè)的就業(yè)前景持何種態(tài)度)，但是這個(gè)話題實(shí)際上涉及了一個(gè)人對(duì)自己的性格、天賦、興趣、能力以及社會(huì)現(xiàn)狀進(jìn)行綜合分析的能力，還同時(shí)也可以看出他對(duì)自己未來(lái)人生的一種期望、信念和熱情，因此考生也可對(duì)此稍做準(zhǔn)備，甚至可以將其放在自我介紹中(不建議口語(yǔ)不太理想的考生這樣做)。

自我介紹。要求簡(jiǎn)潔、有新意，能夠讓考官記住你。最重要的是，發(fā)音要準(zhǔn)，不要太快，以別人聽(tīng)懂為目的。但注意一定要聽(tīng)考官的指示語(yǔ)，聽(tīng)到考官說(shuō)：Can you introduce yourself briefly/ say something about yourself后再開(kāi)始。其實(shí)現(xiàn)在許多口語(yǔ)考試為了避免考生背誦準(zhǔn)備好的自我介紹，都去除了這個(gè)部分，而是由一些簡(jiǎn)單問(wèn)題來(lái)代替，如：

What do you usually do in your leisure time?
What’s your favorite TV program?
Who is the most important person in your family?

Know what you can realistically accomplish. You can find out by talking to others MBA about what they accomplished in their first five years with a particular company after graduation.
