I have always been brimming with questions about the how and why of the world around me. In fact, one of my biology teachers once commented in response to my constant questioning that I was an extremely curious student and a pleasure to have in class.
When in the 8th grade we began studying the three sciences independently, I developed a special affinity towards biology and chemistry. Medicine was the first thought that came to mind when I thought about a career in Biology and Chemistry but I could not foresee myself working in a clinic on a day to day basis. I was then introduced to my first Robin Cook book, ‘Fever’, the first of many to follow. It was then that I realised how dependent the medical community is on research and that there are a myriad career options that are open to a research scientist.
Being a student of the International Baccalaureate program, I got a lot of exposure to laboratory work which I thoroughly enjoyed. The International Baccalaureate encourages its students to question knowledge and test theories for themselves, an approach which suited me perfectly. The interdisciplinary approach of the program to science helped me broaden my perspective of the scope of research and crystallised my decision to study a course in molecular biochemistry. India is on the threshold of becoming a world leader in clinical research, however, the fact still remains that the leadership in innovative research still lies in the hands of scientists trained in the universities of Europe is what prompted me to apply to the your university.
What amazes me about this line of study is how all living organisms whether complex or simple ultimately are a collection of cells, entities so tiny and yet so powerful that they determine the nature of the organism. DNA is nothing more than a chemical compound but what is it that gives it the capability to determine the characteristics of an organism? How is it that cells communicate using chemistry? What molecular activity determines the genetic makeup of a species? The wide range of interrelated modules offered by your university will lay a strong foundation before I narrow down the scope of my education.
My love and appreciation of nature’s mysteries has been strengthened through numerous treks, camps and equestrian training and has found application to this field of study.
Your university’s state of the art research facilities are what attracted me to apply to your undergraduate course since the line of study and work that I plan to follow requires just that. The opportunity to meet and interact with the eminent scientists who are members of the faculty is something I really look forward to.
My tenure as Head Girl and years in boarding school have honed my organisational and communication skills and developed a sense of team spirit and responsibility which will aid my academic and personal interactions at university. Being in an international environment will contribute to the shaping of my ideas on moral issues like the ethics of cloning and stem cell research which need to be addressed by the research fraternity, of which I aspire to become a part. I realise that the program requires commitment and hard work and assure you that I will make a positive contribution to your department/it. 1、帝國理工學(xué)院
帝國理工是英國“G5”大學(xué)之一，也是英國大學(xué)中申請難度極高的幾所之一。盡管如此，每年仍有大量想要申請帝國理工大學(xué)的海外留學(xué)生。
申請條件：
本科畢業(yè)，2:1學(xué)位;對專業(yè)背景要求嚴格，優(yōu)異的數(shù)學(xué)、工程、理學(xué)或經(jīng)濟學(xué)成績。雅思成績7.0，單項不低于6.5，學(xué)校雖沒有硬性要求GMAT，但是，建議學(xué)生去考GMAT。
2、巴斯大學(xué)
巴斯大學(xué)管理學(xué)院被公認為英國的商學(xué)院之一,在業(yè)界有極高的聲譽，每年有大量本科畢業(yè)生進入倫敦投行工作。

2：1的榮譽學(xué)位，經(jīng)濟學(xué)相關(guān)專業(yè)背景，至少6們經(jīng)濟金融相關(guān)課程，必須有一門計量經(jīng)濟學(xué)或者統(tǒng)計學(xué)，雅思6.5。
6、雷丁大學(xué)
雷丁大學(xué)于1926年得到皇家授權(quán)，曾于1998、2005、2009、2011先后四次獲得英國女王周年獎，由于其各方面的成就，如今已成為一所集研究和教學(xué)一體的綜合大學(xué)，位于英國一流大學(xué)之列。
申請條件：
2：1的榮譽學(xué)位，相關(guān)專業(yè)背景，其他專業(yè)的只要是課程中含有大量的數(shù)學(xué)計算課程均可申請，GMAT建議提交，尤其是對于已經(jīng)工作好幾年的學(xué)生，雅思6.5。
英國留學(xué)院?？己朔绞?/h2>
一、作業(yè)(Assignment)
在英國讀書，也是會安排作業(yè)的，在完成了單堂課的學(xué)習(xí)之后，大部分老師都會布置下課后的作業(yè)，讀學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)情況進行鞏固和考核，是需要大家在課堂上認真的聽講的。
而且每一次考核的分數(shù)，都會算到最終的考核測評分數(shù)中，大概會占到10%-20%的比例，所以千萬不要忽視了作業(yè)的作用，而且也千萬不要缺課逃課，隨堂的作業(yè)也是有可能會出現(xiàn)的。
二、演講(Presentation)
為了增加師生之間的互動，以及學(xué)生之間的合作，還會安排一定的演講活動，需要個人或者小組進行探討的展示，除了要展示自己的討論結(jié)果之外，還需要接受老師的問題問詢。
三、論文(Essay)
包括課程上完之后的論文作業(yè)，一般是規(guī)模較小的論文，只需要2000字左右，完成一個小論題的闡述，需要做到細致而且完善，能夠自圓其說，同樣會占到后續(xù)考核的分數(shù)比例。
然后是階段課程完成之后的學(xué)年論文，這部分需要大家在導(dǎo)師的指導(dǎo)下進行，要先選導(dǎo)師然后確定題目，一般范圍會比較大，要求大家完成一篇5000字左右的論文，需要話比較長的時間。
四、考試(Exam)
紙質(zhì)的考試依舊還是目前階段考核的主要形式，也是大家GPA成績的直接來源，在基礎(chǔ)的課程完成了之后，就會安排考試時間，考試周一般在三到五天，大家需要提前進行準備。
而形式則是由老師出題，大家在半封閉的教室內(nèi)進行考試，時間會固定，答完題之后收卷由老師進行評分，分數(shù)會在之后進行統(tǒng)一的公示，而題目有選擇、簡答等不同的形式。
五、專題研究(Project)
緊接著就是非常規(guī)的研究，這部分一般是由導(dǎo)師安排的項目，屬于選修和加分項，并不要求所有的學(xué)生參加，而且如果沒有特殊表現(xiàn)也不會對考核產(chǎn)生很大影響，但是對動手能力有很好的提升作用。
