  1. The audience are likely to remember only three things from your presentation – plan in advance what these will be.1. 聽眾或許只會(huì)從你的演講中記住三樣?xùn)|西——都是什么呢?提前做好計(jì)劃!

  Believe it or not, the chances are, people will only remember three things from your presentation. So before you start writing your presentation, plan what your three key messages will be. Once you have these messages, structure the main part of your presentation around these three key themes and look at how they could be better illustrated。不管你信不信,聽眾只能記住三點(diǎn)與你演講有關(guān)的內(nèi)容。因此在開始寫演講稿之前,就要確定好你最關(guān)鍵的三條信息。一旦你確定了這些信息,圍繞這三個(gè)主題構(gòu)建你演講的主要內(nèi)容并考慮如何更好的闡述。

  The beginning, the middle and the end. Start to plan out what you will do in these three parts. The beginning is ideal for an attention grabber or for an ice breaker.   A classic example of the rule of three was Winston Churchill’s famous Blood, Sweat and Tears speech. He is widely attributed as saying I can promise you nothing but blood sweat and tears. What he actually said was “I can promise you Blood, Sweat, Toil and Tears”. Aim to connect with individuals and build a following before you address your audience as a whole.

Keep it short and sweet, including only the most pertinent information of why they should care about who you are and what you have to say.

As humble as you may actually be, even appearing to take your time to get on stage can come off as self-important. And, if the applause after you’ve been introduced has dwindled or completely stopped before you get to center stage, you (and your entire audience) can practically taste the awkward in the room.

  This was an entirely acceptable way to begin public speaking the first ten million times it was done. We are now past that mark and opening with this line is akin to saying: "Thank you for hearing me say something that you are now not listening to at all." Starting with this line is the best way to make your audience members check their Twitter or Instagram accounts within the first 10 seconds of your speech.
