英語學(xué)習(xí)：else的用法
else的用法
1)else別的，其他的 可以用作形容詞，置于不定代詞之后。比如：
I saw Judy there.I didn’t see anybody else.
我看見裘迪在那兒。我沒看見別人。
Only John is strong enough to lift the box. Nobody else can.
只有約翰力氣夠大可以提起這個(gè)箱子。沒有別的人能。
Give me five minutes please. I have something else to say.
請(qǐng)給我五分鐘。我還有話要說。
2)else也可以用于疑問代詞后。比如：
What else do you need?
你還需要什么?
Who else can operate the machine here?
還有誰能操作這兒的機(jī)器?
3)還可以用作副詞，用于副詞或者疑問副詞后。比如：
We didn’t go anywhere else yesterday.
昨天我們沒有去其他地方。
They had visited all the sights there, so they went somewhere else.
那兒的景點(diǎn)他們都參觀過了，所以去了別處。
I won’t be free on Tuesday. When else can we meet?
星期二我沒有空。我們還有什么時(shí)間可以見面?
