among與between用法比較
among between為近義詞，皆可表示“在……之間”，但用法大不相同，現(xiàn)歸納比較如下：
一、among一般用于三者或三者以上的“在……中間”，其賓語(yǔ)通常是一個(gè)表示籠統(tǒng)數(shù)量或具有復(fù)數(shù)意義的名詞或代詞。
His house is hidden among the trees.
他的房子隱藏在樹林之中。
She sat among the children.
她坐在孩子們中間。
二、把兩者以上的為數(shù)不多的人或事物單獨(dú)地看待，用and連接時(shí)，要用between;把兩者以上的人或事物看成一群、一堆或一組而不是個(gè)體時(shí)，要用among。
Switzerland lies between France,Italy,Austria and Germany.
瑞士位于法國(guó)、意大利、奧地利和德國(guó)之間。
The old man’s cottage lies among the trees.
老人的小木屋在樹林中。
三、between一般指兩者之間，其賓語(yǔ)往往是一個(gè)具體數(shù)目的人(物)，或者是由and連接的兩個(gè)具體的人(物)。
There was a fight between the two boys.
這兩個(gè)男孩間發(fā)生了一場(chǎng)格斗。
I am sitting between my parents.
我正坐在我父母中間。
四、between也可用于三者以上的事物之間，強(qiáng)調(diào)一物與數(shù)物之 間的關(guān)系。
The small village lies between the three mountains.
小村莊位于三座大山之間。
I saw something lying between the wheels of the train.
我看見火車輪子之間有什么東西。
五、涉及人或事物之間的區(qū)別以及人或事物之間的關(guān)系時(shí)，一般要用between。
We must find out the difference between the three companies.
我們必須查清這三家公司之間的區(qū)別。
The relations between various countries are very important.
各國(guó)之間的關(guān)系是很重要的。
六、表示“由于……合作的結(jié)果”時(shí)，要用between。
Between them they landed the fish.

七、當(dāng)and連接三者或三者以上的人(物)而仍然強(qiáng)調(diào)兩者的并列時(shí)，常用between。

公園位于一條馬路與樹林之間。
八、在divide,share等表示“分享”之類的動(dòng)詞之后。若接一個(gè)表示三者或三者以上的復(fù)數(shù)名詞時(shí)，用among或between均可。
The father divided his money among/between his three sons。
父親把錢分給了三個(gè)兒子。
The bed-room is shared between/among the six students.
臥室由六個(gè)學(xué)生共同享用。
九、between ourselves意為“只限于咱倆之間(不得外傳)”，be-tween the lines意為“字里行間”，far between意為“稀少”，in be-tween意為“在中間、每間隔”，between two fires意為“進(jìn)退維谷、左右為難”。

十、from among意為“從……中”，one among a thousand 意為“千里挑一的人、罕見，優(yōu)秀的人”，among+the first/last或最高級(jí)形容詞時(shí)，意為“one of…”。

工會(huì)主席將從會(huì)員中選出。
He is one among a thousand in the field of music.
他是音樂界罕見的優(yōu)秀人才。
China is among the largest countries in the world.
中國(guó)是世界上最大的國(guó)家之一。
