　　二、翻譯下列短文

　　Literal Translation and Liberal Translation

　　Practically there are two kinds of translation. One is literal translation and the other is liberal translation. The two methods are both necessary, that’s to say, you may use either of them to do translation work. While, in most cases, both of them should be employed together in order to make the translation of FAITHFUL and SMOOTH. Literal translation refers to a representation of the form or word order of the original. Liberal translation, however, does not adhere strictly to the form or word order of the original. We can hardly say which method is better, each has its merits and defects. Some people prefer literal translation and others like liberal translation.

　　正視失意

　　失意受挫的時(shí)候，你喜歡和什么樣的人接觸。

　　我有些朋友很堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，即使是從高處摔下，焦頭爛額又倒霉透頂?shù)臅r(shí)候，他們還是會(huì)選擇和春風(fēng)得意、鴻運(yùn)當(dāng)頭的人在一起， 希望可以刺激自己重新站起來(lái)。不管得勢(shì)的人如何趾高氣揚(yáng)，不可一世，朋友依然可以處之泰然。

　　我很佩服這類(lèi)友人，如果是我就沒(méi)法做到。當(dāng)我失意落難的時(shí)候，我喜歡和同是淪落人在一起，畢竟大家在那一刻擁有相似的心情，我的心境，我說(shuō)的話他一定都能了解，同病相憐之余的相互勉勵(lì)，也必定是更為真切的。

　　其實(shí)，在不如意時(shí)，我更喜歡的是獨(dú)處。全世界的人可以不來(lái)理我，我也不理會(huì)他人。傷口惟有自己治療，我只想面對(duì)自己，大哭一場(chǎng)也好，痛定思痛也好，三天三夜不吃不喝不眠也好，我自己要熬過(guò)來(lái)。誰(shuí)不知道跌倒了要勇敢爬起來(lái)，所以誰(shuí)來(lái)跟我說(shuō)什么都沒(méi)用，面對(duì)失敗的認(rèn)知過(guò)程，一定得自己去掙扎。

　　如果我在某處碰了個(gè)大釘子，我會(huì)選擇快速離開(kāi)，不會(huì)在那里硬撐，或是企盼能再回去翻身。何苦呢?在同一個(gè)地方，你要應(yīng)付的將是雙倍的壓力，倒不如換個(gè)環(huán)境，也許就時(shí)來(lái)運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)。

　　坦白說(shuō)，失意的人不容易相處，但是如果首先可以自處，過(guò)了自己這一關(guān)，走出去就容易多了。

　　三、修改下列譯文

　　1. I’ve read your article and I expected to see an older man.

　　譯文：我拜讀過(guò)您的大作，并且期望看見(jiàn)一個(gè)老一點(diǎn)的人。
