　　很多的英文：

　　可數(shù)：a lot of, lots of, many

　　同義詞辨析：

　　a lot of 和 lots of ：

　　這兩個詞組可以當作定語，即當作many或much那樣

　　來使用;因此，謂語動詞的數(shù)不是依據(jù)lot和lots來決定，而是依據(jù)of所引導的名詞的數(shù)來決定。

　　例如：A lot of time has been wasted.有許多時間給浪費掉了。(a lot of =much)

　　A lot of people have been present.已有許多人到了。(a lotof=many)

　　There is lots of time to spare.時間綽綽有余。(不說 Thereare…)

　　Open meetings often reveal lots of closed winds.公開討論往往得以開誠布公。(of引導的是復數(shù)名詞)

　　a large quantity of和 quantities of：

　　quantities of無論修飾可數(shù)還是不可數(shù)名詞、謂語動詞都用復數(shù)。

　　例如:

　　Quantities of food (nuts) were on the table. 桌子上有許多食品(堅果)。

　　a quantity of+可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)、謂語動詞用復數(shù);+不可數(shù)名詞、謂語動詞用單數(shù)。即修飾可數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞均可,作主語時采取就近一致的原則,其謂語動詞通常與短語中of后面的名詞的數(shù)保持一致。

　　A large quantity of blouses were on sale. 大量罩衫有售。

　　英語中有許多詞語可用來表示“許多”，根據(jù)性質(zhì)可分為三大類。

　　1)修飾可數(shù)名詞復數(shù)形式的有 many, a good/great many, quite a few, a large (或great)/small number of等，其后的謂語動詞用復數(shù)形式。

　　2)修飾不可數(shù)名詞的有much, a great deal of, quite a little, an amount of等。其后的謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式。

　　3)既能修飾可數(shù)名詞，又能修飾不可數(shù)名詞的有 a lot of, lots of, plenty of, a great quantity of等，謂語動詞根據(jù)主語是可數(shù)或不可數(shù)決定單復數(shù)形式。
