你知道嗎?英國(guó)的四個(gè)地區(qū)英格蘭、蘇格蘭、威爾士以及北愛(ài)爾蘭都有各自的旗幟?，F(xiàn)在廣泛使用的英國(guó)國(guó)旗又稱作“the Union Jack”或者“the Union Flag”，由深藍(lán)底色和紅、白色“米”字組成。那么，你知道英國(guó)米字旗的由來(lái)嗎？

　　英國(guó)國(guó)旗產(chǎn)生于1801年，是由原英格蘭的白地紅色正十旗(代表英格蘭守護(hù)神圣喬治)、蘇格蘭的藍(lán)地白色交叉十字旗(代表蘇格蘭守護(hù)神圣安德魯)和愛(ài)爾蘭的白地紅色交叉十字旗(代表愛(ài)爾蘭守護(hù)神圣帕特里克)重疊而成。

　　按照順序，首先是蘇格蘭旗(St Andrews’s Cross)和英格蘭的旗(St George’s Cross)組合在一起，然后愛(ài)爾蘭王國(guó)的旗幟(St Patrick’s Cross)也被疊加了上來(lái)，最后形成的了現(xiàn)在的樣子。

　　Saint Andrew's(圣安德魯)Cross是蘇格蘭的國(guó)旗，象征著蘇格蘭國(guó)民的忠誠(chéng)。圣安德魯是蘇格蘭的守護(hù)者，傳說(shuō)他就是被釘在X型的十字架上，所以知道為什么旗子上是個(gè)白色X型的十字啦!

　　The Union Flag has been used in a variety of forms since the proclamation by Orders in Council (樞密令) 1606, when the Flag of Scotland and the Flag of England were first merged to symbolize the Union of the Crowns. (The Union of the Crowns having occurred in 1603).

　　In Scotland, and in particular on Scottish vessels at sea, historical evidence suggests that a separate design of Union Flag was flown to that used in England. However, following the Acts of Union 《合并法令》of 1707, which united the Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England to become the Kingdom of Great Britain , the 'English' version of the Union Flag was adopted as the official Flag of Great Britain.

　　From 1801, in order to symbolise the union of the Kingdom of Great Britain with the Kingdom of Ireland, a new design which included the St Patrick's Cross was adopted for the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. The Flag of the United Kingdom, having remainedunchanged following the partition of Ireland in 1921 and creation of the Irish Free State and Northern Ireland, continues to be used as the flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

　　1606年，詹姆斯一世統(tǒng)一英格蘭和蘇格蘭時(shí)，將這兩面旗幟圖案重疊起來(lái)，作為大不列顛的國(guó)旗。英國(guó)國(guó)旗的歷史最早可追溯到1606年。1603年，當(dāng)時(shí)英格蘭和蘇格蘭擁有了同一位國(guó)王，在英格蘭的名叫詹姆士一世，在蘇格蘭的名叫詹姆士六世。

　　1606年4月12日制定的國(guó)旗，是由英格蘭的圣喬治十字旗和蘇格蘭的圣安德魯旗交叉合并而成，但和現(xiàn)在的有點(diǎn)不一樣，沒(méi)有紅色的斜杠(圣帕特里克十字)。

　　愛(ài)爾蘭的圣帕特里克的白地紅色“x"型十字旗，最早是愛(ài)爾蘭菲茨諾德家族的旗幟;1801年，愛(ài)爾蘭與大不列顛聯(lián)合組成王國(guó)后，這面旗幟又與大不列顛國(guó)旗重疊，最后形成了大不列顛及北愛(ài)爾蘭聯(lián)合王國(guó)的這面構(gòu)圖奇特的“米字旗”。
