When I was very small, I stayed in the hometown with my grandparents. I had the great time there, I liked the environment so much. There was a long river in front of my house, the water was very clean, I could see the small fish swim. My grandma usually washed her clothes along the river side. But now when I went back to my hometown, the river was very dirty, the water was light yellow and there were so many rubbish floating in the river. It made me feel that the river had lost its life. I missed the old time when I was playing in the river. It is human being that ruin the environment, if we don't take action to protect it, we will destroy ourselves.
在我很小的時(shí)候,我和我的爺爺奶奶呆在家鄉(xiāng)。我過(guò)的很愉快,我喜歡那里的環(huán)境。在我的房子前面有一條很長(zhǎng)的河,水很干凈,我可以看到小魚(yú)游泳。我奶奶通常沿著河邊洗她的衣服。但是現(xiàn)在當(dāng)我回到家鄉(xiāng),河水很臟,水是淡黃色的,有很多垃圾漂浮在河里。我覺(jué)得這條河已經(jīng)失去了它的生命。我想念在河里玩耍的舊時(shí)光。是人類破壞了環(huán)境,如果我們不采取行動(dòng)來(lái)保護(hù)它,我們將毀滅自己。

I am terribly sorry to tell you that I am unable to attend your birthday part next Thursday evening. That is owing to the fact that my younger brother suddenly fell ill and was taken to a hospital this morning. I have to go there immediately and take care of him. As told by the doctor in charge, it will take around five days for him to recover and I have asked my boss for a leave.
I really regret that I cannot go to celebrate your birthday personally and would miss the perfect chance of enjoying myself with all our old friends. I have chosen a small gift for you and will send it to you tomorrow to show my best wishes. Besides, please give my regards to our friends when you meet them at the party.

Spring came with all its glories. The new grass exposed its green colour. The pretty flowers opened their were tempted to go for an outing.
It was Sunday, the 20th of April. We set out very early on bikes, carrying bottles of champagne, beer and bags of cakes, bacon and cooked eggs. We rode along the winding paths in the fields, across the meadows and down the willow were fresh and green. The swallows were flying to and fro, up and down the sky. The birds, like musicians,snang their melodious songs in the trees, and the butterflies,like colorful dancers, were fluttering here and there. We breathed the fresh air deeply and laughed heartily.
