But in the old days it was a poor and backward little town. Many people had no work. They lived a hard life.

In 1949 my hometown was liberated. Since then great changes have taken place there. The streets have been widened. Factories, schools, hospitals, cinemas and theatres have sprung up one after another. The life of the people is greatly improved.
我愛(ài)我的家鄉(xiāng)。所有我愛(ài)的人。他們正在努力工作以使它更豐富、更美麗。
I love my hometown. All the more I love its people. They are working hard so as to make it still richer and more beautiful.

My hometown is a small village not far from the Changjiang River.A road runs through it, leading to the nearest.You can see houses behind green trees along both sides of the road.
There are about 300 people in the village.All of them are very friendly. In busy seasons most of them do farm work in the fields.The village is famous for its fruits. When summer comes,many businessmen drive here to buy them.
My hometown is becoming more and more beautiful. I love my hometown very much.
